Kenya Wildlife Adventure Safari - 2 Days
Day 1: Nairobi
Pick up at the airport with our courtesy bus then transfer
to your hotel, the serena Hotel (this is a twenty minutes
drive from the airport) check in and spend the afternoon either
relaxing or touring the cosmopolis of Nairobi. The tour includes
visits to the parliament, the national museum, the Snake Park,
the railway museum etc. After dinner an overnight at the Landmark
ends our first day in Africa.
Day 2: Nairobi
- The Aberdares
After an early start, we drive through the rich farmlands
of the central highlands seeing coffee and pineapple plantations
and colorful villages. Our drive to the Aberdare Country Club
enjoys fine views of Mount Kenya. Lunch is served at the Club;
then transfer to the Ark, which is situated right in the very
heart of the Aberdare National Park close to a waterhole.
Here you can view closely Elephant, Rhino, Giant forest Hog,
Antelope, Leopard, Buffalo and on occasions the rare and elusive
Bongo. Lush green trees provide the ideal setting for baboons
and colorful birds. At night enjoy illuminated game viewing
from the gallery as the animals come to drink. Dinner and
overnight stay at the Ark.
Northern
Kenya Camel Safaris
CAMEL SAFARI - 7 days
You are transported from Nairobi
to Maralal where you spend your fist night under canvas, and
the next day you drive to the-set-off point and meet the Morani
Guides. Camel is led by a Samburu Mzee, you cover 16-18 km
a day, allowing you to admire views of dramatic un spoilt
Kenyan country. The camp is moved using a support vehicle
each morning and set up for your mid-day destination for lunch.
Nature and Game walks are arranged each afternoon by your
English speaking Morani Guides. On the last evening you will
enjoy local Samburu Dancing at the Maralal hostels, and then
return to Nairobi by early evening on the last day.
The Samburu country is a beautiful
region of Kenya to the north, about 7 hour drive from Nairobi.
You drive through picturesque country that has panoramic views
of the Great Rift Valley, endless plains that are divided
into large ranches catering to the myriad wildlife species
that are found in this animal paradise. The people offer a
rich cultural experience, dressed in their colorful attire
that is topped by red ochred hair your contact with the Samburu
is one unforgettable Kenyan safari adventure.
Birding Adventures in Kenya (4 Days)
Day 1: Nairobi/
Lake Naivasha (LD)
Leave your Nairobi hotel for Lake Naivasha that is 84km north
of Nairobi, this is the purest rift valley lake backdrop extinct
volcanic Mt.Longonot in the background. This lake was famous
in 1930’s as a staging post for imperial Airways flying
boat services from Durban to London. Arrive in time for Lunch.
After lunch have an extensive tour of this Lake that is an
ideal water resort for leisurely bird watching, 340 species
of birds are recorded here and a large number of hippos. Fishing
of tilapia and black boss, game watching at crescent island
private game sanctuary gives visitors a chance to walk among
small herds of plains game including water buck, dik dik and
Thompson gazelle. Crescent Island is one of the few places
in all Africa where you can wander on foot among herds of
zebra, wildebeest, gazelle and giraffe because of the absence
of predators. Return to the campsite or Lodge in time for
dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Lake
Naivasha/ Lake Nakuru (BLD)
After breakfast drive to Lake Nakuru National park that is
well known for its fantastic array of bird life. On arrival,
proceed for a game drive looking out for million of flamingoes
and other water birds like pink backed pelicans, marabou stocks,
egrets, Arrow – marked babbler, red headed weaver and
other water birds that breed in the lake’s alkaline
waters. A visit to baboon cliff offers a scenic panorama of
the lake below, surrounded by a vast tract of euphorbia and
acacia forest that gives a good chance of viewing plantain
birds (birds that don’t breed in the alkaline waters).
A wide variety of antelopes and other plain game like Cape
buffalo, Rothschild giraffe, white rhino, leopard, baboons
and warthog can be seen in this park. This is the best place
to view the Rothschild giraffe and the white rhino the endangered
species. Dinner and overnight at the campsite or Lodge
Day 3: Lake
Nakuru/ Baringo (BLD)
Leave for Lake Baringo after breakfast, on arrival have an
hour’s boat ride which enables you to see hippos at
close range and the bird life that inhabits this lake as over
350 species of birds have been recorded here including some
that conform to a migratory pattern, as well as crocodiles
and Egyptian geese which migrate all the way from western
Europe. After lunch spend at leisure.
Day 4: Baringo/
Bogoria/ Nairobi (BL)
After breakfast, depart Lake Baringo for Lake Bogoria. This
is a shallow soda lake home to a large number of birds and
rare lesser kudu. Scalding hot springs and geysers at the
southern end of the lakes spurt and steam their alkaline waters.
The bubbling of hot springs, hundreds of singing weaverbirds
and a million flamingos feeding in the bluish water present
a rare scenic beauty. After lunch depart for Nairobi.
