Ecotourism
Tours at the Kenya Coast
Ecotourism in Mombasa, Eco tourism Adventures
in Kenya
Eco-tourism is fairly well developed
on the kenyan coast with the Bamburi Nature Trail (now called
Haller's Park) leading the way. This park is a showcase of
the reclamation of land from a cement quarry which has been
transformed into a forest and park hosting a large variety
of smaller wildlife including crocodiles, antelopes and other
game.
Your visit to the Kenya coastline overlooking
the azure waters of the Indian Ocean would not be complete
withoDancing with localsut a trip to the crocodile farm in
the north of Mombasa, the falconry farm in Malindi, a visit
to a sisal farm or a cashew nut farm and to top it all is
a trip to the Arabuko Sokoke Forest - one of the last of its
kind in Africa. The Arabuko Sokoke is home to a number of
species of birds, orchids and other botanical species that
are endangered. Included in this category is the Scopes Owl
which is only to be found in this part of the world.
Hana Safaris Adventure tailors these eco-tourism
trips to individual group specifications. We common include
some cultural immersions which take the clientele into the
african villages to interact with the villagers even as the
clients learn about the way of life among the villagers.
These trips would not be complete without a
wildlife safari so we undertake these to the nearby Shimba
Hills National Park, Tsavo National Park and for the more
adventurous we proceed further afield to Masai Mara Game Park.
For those who wish to relax after these eco-tourism specials
there is the whole of the East African coastline open to them
with its white sands, its water sports and its excellent accommodation.
